Erin Lewenauer
I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and then lived in Poughkeepsie, NY, receiving my B.A. in English and French (having spent time in Paris and Bordeaux) from Vassar College in 2005. Ditching my plan of working in publishing in NYC, I headed out to the mountains of Boulder, Colorado for three years where I managed a british pub, the children's section of a bookstore, and got some writing done. I returned to NYC last year to try to recover Plan A and wound up a writer for the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, the Harlem News, and Publisher's Weekly before moving to Pittsburgh (mainly as a result of my love for Michael Chabon) to start my MFA in Poetry (although I write fiction too.) Other favorite writers include Philip Levine, Charles Simic, Philip Roth, David Means, and Lorrie Moore.
