Angela Velez

Fiction

Angela Velez is a writer and editor who grew up in Baltimore under the watchful eye of her Peruvian parents. After earning her BA in English and Hispanic Studies from Columbia University, she spent two years traveling the US as an undergraduate admissions officer. There were a lot of tacos involved. She comes to Pittsburgh as a former editor of young adult and middle grade novels and women's lifestyle content.

Her writing explores borders, crises of faith and coming of age. She likes running, obsessing over dramatic television, and making zines, piñatas, and pesto. Her work has been published on Brit + Co and The Billfold. You can find her online at frozenfresas.com
